The History of The Dealership Alternative

The roots of the Dealership Alternative run deep. Our vast knowledge of the automotive industry dates back four generations when John Elliott’s grandfather started working for one of the nation’s oldest automobile marques, Packard Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan.  Frank G. Elliott pursued the American dream and eventually opened his very own Dodge Dealership with his three sons in 1949 in Bedford, OH. One of those sons was Michael, John’s father who worked as the general manager of the company for over 30 years. John began working for the company when  he turned 13 until deciding to pursue his college degree in sales and marketing at the Northwood University in Midland, MI.

SINCE THEN, JOHN HAS WORKED IN DEALERSHIPS ACROSS THE COUNTRY, SERVING IN THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY FOR OVER 40 YEARS. HIS EXPERIENCE HAS ALLOWED HIM TO SEE THE GOOD AND THE BAD OF THE AUTO BUSINESS AND HIS HONEST CONVICTIONS HAVE BROUGHT HIM TO WHERE HE IS TODAY WITH THE DEALERSHIP ALTERNATIVE.  JOHN BELIEVES THAT WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING A VEHICLE PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON FROM START TO FINISH. HONESTY, INTEGRITY, AND COMMITMENT ARE THE CORE VALUES OF THE DEALERSHIP ALTERNATIVE AND HE IS EXCITED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ANYONE WANTING A NEW AND REFRESHING CAR BUYING OR SELLING EXPERIENCE.
